Yesterday I went to see The Devil Wears Prada with ma Mummy and I have to say it was rather enjoyable. Funny, not exactly brain-taxing and there were lots of v.v.v nice clothes. However my movie-going experiance was ruined slightly by the most annoying person evah deciding to sit right behind me. She talked throughout the entire film, I swear she didn't even breathe. And it wasn't even quiet personal talking to the person next to her, but continuous commentating on what was happening. It was like an out-loud voice-over for the film. Argh!
It would go like this:
Anne Hathaway on screen: *is unsure of which table to put the v.important book on* Rest of Audience: ... Woman behind me: (loud whisper) Ooh, she doesn't know which table to put it on.
Meryl Streep on screen: *puts on sunglasses* Rest of Audience: ... Woman behind me: (loud whisper) Ooh, watch her go. Me: *eye-twitch*
Anne Hathaway on screen: *gets made-over and looks pretty* Rest of Audience: ... Woman behind me: (loud whisper) Ooh, look she's had a make over. Me: *full body twitch*
Meryl Streep on screen: *is sad because she drove her husband away because she's work-obsessed* Rest of Audience: ... Woman behind me: (loud whisper) Ooh, she better learn from that. Me: SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP STUPID ANNOYING LADY! WE KNOW! WE ARE ALSO WATCHING THE MOVIE!
*sigh*

Heh, I have a sudden new love for Robert Pattison. Not only is he purty and most likely gay but he also says cute stuff in interviews. Trouble is I found all the cute stuff on a bunch of Robert Pattison quote icons, so mostly they're just little things completely out of context, but whatev. they're cute.
"I still trip over my feet and stuff when I'm not supposed to be doing anything."
"So I ended up sitting in a corner eating mud and stuff ... which didn't really work." (?! but aw)
"I think Dan could steal anybody's girlfriend. If I was a girl I'd go with Dan." (OMG 100points for gayness! But 0points for taste.)
"I've been dead a few times, it's strange but it's quite sort of relaxing."
"And then Ralph Fiennes was like, 'I stamped on your head!'"
Bwah!

Stupid Things I've Done Today at Work:
1. Go outside to get the milk, forget I don't have a key, lock myself out, realise that as I'm the person who's in charge of buzzing people in and I'm now outside that I'm kind of screwed, buzz incesantly at the door in vain, wait half an hour until someone eventually comes up who has a key, pretend I'd only been out there for five minutes.
2. Frank a load of letters that already had first-class stamps on them. (Franking is when you put letters through a machine that puts a sort of red-ink square on it which shows that the postage had been paid for ie. so you don't need to put an actual stamp on it egh)
3. After an awkward pause on the phone to a clienty-person, saying "Okay, see you later" instead of "Bye".
I'll just blame it on last night's celebrations. Uh-huh.

I'm baaack! I'm also at wooork! I have practised my telephone voice and it's getting quite gut if I do say so myself, friendly with a hint of je ne sais qouis. I can also take notes, and look busy and make tea (pour the teah!) so all is well in the world.
I'll probs speak to y'all soon, though I don't think I'll be in school on Thurs, my mum tis probably picking up the results of doom.

Speedy Luigi is ALIVE!!!!!!
That's right he has slithered his little self all the way up the side of his tank, proving that his hibernation (lasting approx. 3 years) is finally ovah! As my mother put it, "Just goes to show you, just when you think they're dead ... they're not."
Yay!

Hokay I know it's been absolute yonkies since I last updated and y'all've missed me immensley (yes you have, don't try to deny it) but I thought I'd immerge from the depths of non-LJ-updatyness and entryfy today for you.
Well basically today was the day we toddled to Alicia's for fliming, much fun was to be had frolicking with guns and suchlike, marred only slightly by the presence of brattish children and I'm still finding random dirt down my neck and twigs in my hair, lovely. When I got home I just mooched for the rest of the day. I had a spinach and ricotta pizza for dinner which was dumb because I don't like spinach and I don't like ricotta, I like pizza though. Have I spelt spinach right? I'm suddenly thinking it might be "spinache", but that looks funny. Bah, fwatevah!
While I ate I also straightened my hair, finished Alicia's birthday present and watched The United States of Leland, boy can I mulit-task. Speaking of The United States of Leland, cool movie. I haven't finished it yet but so far it's groovy and got so many famous people in it.
And speaking of famous people, watch THIS FILM-FOUR ADVERT because it's got everyone in it, I mean everyone, and Ewan McGregor dressed as a tomato which is reason enough to watch anything if you ask me.
